NIAA DRUG, ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO POLICY

Participation in high school athletics is a privilege, not a right, and underage drinking, smoking or use of a controlled substance is against the law. The Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Policy is not meant to be a punative program, but instead, a program to help the student-athlete recognize a problem and know where to turn to get help. There are many resources available for drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse. Speak to your school's athletic director, administrator, counselor or teacher for help.
